As
lifetime friends of Mark and Lisa Cheatham we have volunteered to create a
website that will allow family, friends, and acquaintances of Mark and Lisa to stay
updated with accurate information about the status of Lisa’s current fight
against breast cancer. As teachers
within our community, Mark and Lisa have established many relationships with a
very broad spectrum of people. Because
of this, their family has been inundated with calls and visits from
well-wishers who want to show them support and encouragement during this trying
time.
Mark and Lisa are overwhelmed by
the response that they have received.
The love and caring which have been expressed in the many calls and
cards over the past week has been incredible.
The many prayers offered for them is comforting and uplifting for
them. They are touched and appreciative
of all of these efforts on Lisa’s behalf and would never tell anyone not to
call or come over to visit. They
understand that people want to know what is happening and want to express their
love and support. However, in the
weeks that follow, Lisa will be undergoing surgery and chemotherapy. This will be tiring and it will be difficult
to keep people informed individually of what is happening. Lisa may not have the energy to spend lots
of time on the phone or to entertain visitors often. However, Mark and Lisa DO want to hear from you and do want you
to know how Lisa is doing. They realize
that your love and support are going to be very important in Lisa’s
recovery. It is our hope that this
website will allow you to keep up to date on Lisa’s status. It will also give you a chance to
communicate messages of support to Mark and Lisa by signing the guest
book. Try to keep it short and sweet so
that they will be able to read them all as they find time.
