the 1998 Hilltoppers Softball and Baseball Sectional Champs. It
was the first ever sectional championship victory for the Lady
Toppers as they defeated Austin 10-2 in 7 innings at the Austin
Sectional on Saturday June 6th. The boys ended a 28 year drought
later that evening by defeating Hauser 11-4 in an eight inning
battle. It was the first time that Shawe had hosted a sectional
baseball tournament.
