Day 9

Friday June 12, 1998

The day started with painting the church and Bible School as usual. In the afternoon a few of us gathered to clean the church and Sr. Pat's apartment. Sr. Pat worked with Rita King in Oldenberg, IN before Rita became the principal at Shawe. Below is a picture of Sr. Pat with a rose in her mouth. She told me not to put it on the internet, but I couldn't resist. Mea Culpa, Sr. Pat!

Later that day Christiane found a dog who liked the taste of her leg. Three dogs had ganged up on Christiane and O'Retha, and one dog decided to take a few bites out of Christiane. Our brave Christiane then traveled to the hospital for a tetanus shot and some bandages. (See picture below)
